As a mezzo-soprano vocalist, Jayhan is primarily rooted in hard rock performance, supported by a versatile vocal range that extends into cinematic, jazz-influenced and contemporary styles.

Her voice is defined by high-range belting with a distinctive timbre that allows her to shift between powerful, high-energy delivery and softer, emotionally nuanced expression. This dynamic range enables her to adapt to both large-scale live performances and intimate studio recordings.

She performs in English, French, and German, reflecting her multilingual background in Switzerland and her ability to shape vocal performances across different linguistic and musical contexts.

Her credits include Ubisoft titles such as Watch Dogs: Legion and Beyond Good & Evil 2, as well as Netflix's Super Giant Robot Brothers!. She was also a contributing vocalist on the Emmy-nominated documentary Band Together featuring Logic, joining an international group of musicians in Los Angeles to complete the project's film production and accompanying music video in collaboration with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and HITRECORD.

Bringing Video Game Music to the stage

Julia "Jayhan" Handschin is also the lead vocalist of JiggyTones, the Cologne-based video game rock band dedicated to bringing iconic gaming soundtracks to life on stage.

Known for her energetic stage presence and strong audience connection, she performs at conventions, festivals and gaming events across Europe and occasionally in the US, transforming game music into shared live experiences.

A key part of her role is collaboration: she actively brings together musicians and composers across the video game music scene. Through JiggyTones, she has helped facilitate live collaborations with video game artists and composers such as David Arkenstone and David Wise, creating performances that celebrate both the music and the people behind it.

Producing Epic Video Game & Cinematic Music Experiences

As Partners and PR Lead at Helvepic, Julia helps develop and promote large-scale concert productions dedicated to Epic Music and video game music.

Her role focuses on collaboration and connection, working with composers, performers, production teams and industry partners to initiate and shape projects that bring musical ideas to life. She is known for helping bridge creative visions and bringing together the right people to make them possible.

She was the co-initiator of the official World of Warcraft: 20 Years of Music anniversary concerts in Switzerland, produced in collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment. Following its success, the concert project has continued its expansion internationally through an ongoing World Tour, bringing the music of Azeroth to audiences around the globe.

Julia also contributed to The Arkenstone Experience, helping bring composer David Arkenstone to Switzerland for a dedicated live concert series and creating new opportunities for audiences to connect directly with the artists behind the music.

Through Helvepic, she supports productions that elevate epic music as a genre while strengthening the cultural visibility of video game music and the creators who bring it to life.

Building Connections Through Video Game Music

A central focus of Julia's work is the promotion and cultural recognition of video game music.

As the medium continues to grow worldwide, she is passionate about helping strengthen its presence within Europe's cultural landscape, especially in Switzerland and Germany. Through performance, concert production, community-building and educational initiatives, she actively supports projects that connect audiences with the composers, musicians, and creative teams behind the music.

In addition to producing and participating in live events, Julia is interested in developing Masterclasses, panels, discussions and behind-the-scenes experiences that shed light on the creative process behind video game music. By giving audiences greater insight into how these soundtracks are written, performed and brought to life, she hopes to foster a deeper appreciation for the artistry behind the medium.

She believes that collaboration and knowledge-sharing are essential to the continued growth of video game music. By creating more opportunities for artists and audiences to engage with one another, she hopes to help pave the way for a cultural renaissance in which video game music is recognized alongside other celebrated musical traditions and artistic disciplines.
